Dark Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Buttercream and Chocolate Fudge Ganache

The beauty and simple richness in flavor of chocolate and vanilla have made this one of my most popular and universal cakes. It is both stunning and delicious and perfect for birthdays or dinner parties. Each cake's drip is beautifully unique! The two flavors of dark chocolate and vanilla come together with richness and elegance. The cake is moist, the frosting is creamy and the finishing fudge ganache is simply divine!

Italian Cream Cake

This decadent cake won a local charity’s cooking competition in 2010 and is a favorite of news anchor, Dawne Gee from WAVE 3 News in Louisville, Kentucky! The towering cake layers are light and fluffy with wonderful flavors of coconut and finely chopped pecans. The cake is frosted with a vanilla cream cheese frosting folded with lightly toasted pecans and the sides are coated with toasted coconut. Finished with a beautiful fleur-de-lis imprint of golden sugar crystals. Delicious!

Mocha Cake

A three layer moist dark chocolate cake frosted with a sweet espresso buttercream, dripped with a dark chocolate glaze and finished with a circle of chocolate-covered espresso beans. This cake has been described as the perfect combination of a savory cup of coffee, a decadent chocolate bar and rich whipped cream. Perfect for those who love the combination of coffee and chocolate!

Dark Chocolate Salted Caramel Cake
Sweet and salty, this cake has three moist dark chocolate layers each topped with a rich salted caramel ganache, then a layer of sweet caramel buttercream & a hint of sea salt. The cake is finished with a silky chocolate caramel buttercream swirl and freshly cracked sea salt. This cake is another one of my most requested flavors. It also won "Best Dessert" in November of 2011 at The Taste of St. Perpetua, an annual tasting and wine pairing event in Lafayette. The combination of the sweet and salty can be highly addictive!

Toasted Coconut Cake

This coconut cake is made with with over six cups of delicious coconut! The three layers of yellow cake are kept moist with two cups of folded coconut and then the cake is frosted with a sweet cream cheese frosting filled with over four cups of toasted coconut and finished with a beautiful toasted coating making it a perfect centerpiece for any occasion. I added this signature cake after it was requested by many who name coconut cake as their favorite. Try this one and it's likely to be at the top of your list!

Chocolate Peppermint Cake

This favorite cake can be made two ways. Both choices have three dark chocolate cake layers with a cool and creamy peppermint buttercream. The traditional chocolate peppermint cake has three tall dark chocolate layers, cool peppermint buttercream and a fun design of York peppermint patties. At the holidays, my favorite is to fill the layers with crushed candy canes, frost it in a traditional peppermint buttercream and top it with a chocolate ganache and a sprinkling of crushed candy canes for a beautiful, festive look. Any way you choose, this cake is scrumptiously refreshing!

Banana Bourbon Cake with Bourbon Cream Cheese Frosting

A moist layer cake made with fresh bananas and a full cup of 100 proof Kentucky bourbon finished with a bourbon cream cheese frosting and a toasted pecan fleur-de-lis. A favorite of bourbon lovers (I can adjust the bourbon flavor to taste) and born from the five years we lived in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. This cake is unique and delicious!

German Chocolate Cake

This moist, rich three layer cake is a show stopper. The chocolate layers are left exposed on the side to display the wonderfully gooey and rich coconut pecan filling. The cake is finished with a piping of silky milk chocolate buttercream.

Red Velvet Cake with Classic Cream Cheese Frosting

Red velvet is a long time love of many, probably because of its unique red color. This deep red three layer chocolate cake is frosted with a silky cream cheese frosting and decorated with a circular design of red and chocolate candies.

Milk Chocolate Malt Cake

This fun cake is flavored like an old-fashioned chocolate malt. The three light layers of malt cake are frosted with a silky milk chocolate buttercream and garnished with an assortment of gourmet malted milk ball candies.

Lemon Drop Cake

This light and refreshing three layer cake similar to an angel food cake with a hint of lemon zest is filled with a tart lemon curd made from freshly squeezed lemons and topped with a cool lemon buttercream and a lemon candy design. Made with fresh lemons from our garden.

Carrot Cake

A rich, traditional carrot cake filled with fresh carrots, California walnuts, raisins and kept surprisingly moist with added fresh pineapple. The cake is finished with a cream cheese frosting and an elegant design of candied carrot ribbons and California walnuts. Carrot cake lovers quickly find this cake a favorite!

Caramel Butter Cake

Five tall layers of moist butter cake frosted with an old fashioned caramel icing and finished with an attractive caramel swirl design. This cake is a Southern staple and a tribute to living many years in the South. Many of my Southern friends would tell me it's just like their grandma used to make!

White Chocolate Raspberry Cake with White Chocolate Frosting

A rich three-layer white cake blended with finely chopped pieces of white chocolate and filled with raspberry preserves and fresh berries. Beautifully finished with a white chocolate cream cheese frosting and a raspberry heart, or a border of raspberries, if you prefer. A great way to sweeten your Valentine's Day!
(I can substitute strawberries for the raspberries used in this cake.)

My daughter’s favorite, a traditional and moist yellow or chocolate three layer cake frosted with the buttercream of your choice. This cake is simple but popular for a reason!
